I recently had the opportunity to witness many virginal views of the My Bath line of Products at a trade show in which the company participated. Thousands of people, men, women, children- everyone -had the opportunity to see these products in all their glory. Most of whom, as per their own admission had, "never seen anything like this before." What struck me most about the most oft heard spontaneous utterances, which included "awesome" or "wow, NOW that is COOL!" is that people seldom got past this initial reaction to see the utility of these products.
This is very telling. It speaks to me now; after research and writing you my reader over the web, I have come to see healing properties in these products. When a steam shower door opens and the steam rises in plumes I can envision a respiratory healing process, and if close enough I feel my pores open and I am relaxed. Yet, the people around me, who have access to all the information I have and have researched stood and only saw steam... they did not view the product the way I did.
On display were a new whirlpool tub, our top of the line Steam Shower the rainforest 78, a Steam Shower/Sauna Combo, as well as another steam shower/whirlpool combination which accommodated up two people and was fit with a television and telephone. These are all "luxury" products and the company is very proud of that word, and proud to be able to use the word to describe such products. However, and more importantly, the company is forever humbled by the idea that all of this technology is merely the side show to the true reasons we wish to sell these showers, saunas, and whirlpools; to promote the healthy lifestyles of our fellow Americans.
Allow me to remind you of some things which you will identify with, and then i will ask a few questions: I, for one, run everyday with head phones and a CD player, or a radio of some sort. Is this not the melding of technology and a healthy lifestyle? In front of the hot tubs which professional athletes soak in after games and work outs, are placed televisions or radios. Is this not of the same philosophy. And now, finally I ask you, which of these amenities, the music or the run (in my case) and in the case of the Athletes, the hydrotherapy or the entertainment, is the primary reason for taking part in both? Which one is more important? In my eyes this is a classic example of a primary reason and an ancillary or secondary reason for using products or treatment.
I think perhaps the wrong point of view is being taken when looking at these products. The beauty, the true novel nature of these products, is that they allow you to nurture your body with the oldest and the newest of western medical knowledge and practice certain alternative therapies- aroma therapy, hydrotherapy, hyperthermia, reflexology, acupressure massage -while not missing out on the demands of modern life. It is expected of most of us to be up to date on what is going on in the news. It is expected of us to take phone calls, of both business and personal nature at all times- having telephones in lavatories is nothing new, I assure you of that. Nor is having entertainment: people have for a very long time run hot baths and enjoyed a good book. Aromatherapy and light therapy are similarly not a new or unattainable invention; people have set moods inside bathrooms around their showers or bath tubs by lighting candles. And, unbeknownst to them most likely, the scents of the candles chosen were given an extra boost by the steam and heat in which they were burning and altering the mood of not only the room but also the bathing participant. All of these things are expected and actually already used in some way by most Americans. And, all the My Bath products which I witnessed were trying to do was make health the "primary benefit" and aim of our customers. Customers all over the world choose this company because we research in such a manner. These health conscious human beings expect this of us; and I deliver as best I can by keeping up to date with health journals and research in any field which could aid us in meeting their expectations.
Sadly, what is NOT EXPECTED of most Americans at this point in time is to take care of themselves. Most certainly not in a country wrought with weight related health disorders, body image disorders, anxiety caused by a fast paced lifestyle. All of which combines to allow for the easy accommodation of fast food restaurants, readily available doctors to keep us just healthy enough to continue to be unhealthy and dependent on a health system which, for the most part, does not embrace the time honored and tested philosophies of the Eastern world, which , if given proper consideration and financially weighed against the investment of a car (something most American's own, yet get no health benefits from,) would make one think about more than how "cool" a Steam Shower looks.
Do we use adjectives such as "stylish" in the descriptions? Absolutely we do; they ARE stylish and they are awe inspiring. However, if used regularly and for the purpose of bettering one's health I assure you, the next time a friend comes over and says, "wow, that's cool, I want one!" Ask them why? And if the answer is similar to their first statement... chuckle to yourself, and guide your friend/friends toward looking for health benefits in all the things which they open their homes and bodies too.
Thank you for your readership... we are just beginning our journey into the exploration of your health and all the wonderful possibilities which may be attained through hydrotherapy and other related fields.
I saw your products last year at the Home show. I know these steam showers are the top of the line. The features are unmatched by any of the competition. We've put in an order for the rainforest 99. That is the bets shower for our needs. Thank you all for the assistance.

These showers are AWESOME!!!
I saw 1 at my friends house where they have 2 steam showers from My Bath.
I had the pleasure of using it for quick shower and it was for lack of a better term AMAZING!!
The other little shower heads felt great!
It kind of felt like I was getting blasted by water from all directions.
The TV was cool but I really liked listening to the radio. The sound was clear and loud and the acoustics are great for listening to yourself sing.
All in all AWESOME is the word, not Bird. Bird is not the word.
